Off The Press – A visionary, creative cafe space within the newly renovated One Express building in Manchester’s thriving area of Ancoats. The concept will be to provide speciality coffee and deli style cabinet food to local office workers, residents, students and shoppers of Manchester as a healthy, considered, modern approach to fast, convenient dining. The space is being designed in a sleek and mid-century modern style, furnished for those who wish to spend more time on their visit.
Ancoats is a happening neighbourhood known for its eclectic food and drink scene. Scandinavian eateries, Japanese teahouses and Mexican restaurants, to name a few, sit alongside craft breweries and speakeasy-style bars. The ‘peeps’—brass peepholes on various buildings—give a glimpse of the machinery and spaces of old Ancoats, once a gritty textile district. Former church Hallé St Peter’s now hosts classical concerts.
Roasted lighter than Allpress Espresso Blend, this blend is for those who like their coffee a bit brighter and juicier. A washed Ethiopian brings delicate floral aromas with sparkling acidity and tea-like body. This is balanced with a natural processed Guatemalan that brings jammy, berry sweetness. All of this sits on a base of Brazil that brings body, sweetness, a slight citrus note, and a good, long aftertaste.
BEAN ORIGIN: Brazil Porta do Céu, Guatemala El Boquerón, Ethiopia Bulessa
